Pastel Doodles

To practice expressions and gesture I used some reference photos and drew the figures in a more cartoony style. I kept the colours simple as I wanted to focus on the characters, plus the pastel colours turned out really cute! I think this was a good drawing exercise as it got me thinking about how to redraw the figures in my style and how I could exaggerate each expression into an exciting moment each of the characters were feeling! Next time I would like to challenge myself to draw the whole figure, as I have the tendency to just draw mostly the face!
