2D Background - Landscape Studies

I wanted to practice drawing reflections as I really want to include them in my background, and I haven't drawn too many reflections. As I am including a lake, I looked at reflections in water. These reflections look more distorted, but I found the colours stay pretty much the same. 

I used photos from my research as reference, and I used a variety of scenes to explore different colours and how buildings or nature looks in water reflections.

I also drew parts of a willow tree as I want to include one in my background. Through looking at willows trees, and photos of them, it became obvious that important factors of drawing them is how the light works with the leaves. In the sun they are very yellow, but in the shade they are their original dark green tone. I found I draw in lots of patches, so I drew a close up of a leaf to try get some more detail. I think I need to experiment with more brushes and tools in Photoshop.
